About the Author
Patricia Hysell lives in South Carolina. She currently writes the lead article at Really Good Quotes each Wednesday. She began writing these historical pieces for RGQ over three years ago and is now seeking publication for expanded versions of the essays.
Her flash fiction work is included in two anthologies put out with the help of writers from My Writers Circle. She has an even dozen stories in Station Shorts and one story included in A Writer’s Christmas.
Patricia has writing posted on various other places on the Internet, including her personal blog, her website and at Milspeak.
She lives with her husband and her dog, a cute little mutt named LC. Her husband is delighted to get first billing. She is a retired nurse who then went back to school to learn about computers. She taught computer applications to high school students and then became the Technology Specialist at a grade school serving students from Kindergarten to grade 8.
She now writes full time or as full time as writers tend to write. She continues to craft Little Bits of History telling a story for each day of the year. She is interested in writing speculative/fantasy fiction. She writes horrible poetry.
She adores her family and delights in her grandchildren, who are all just the cutest little kids on the entire planet. She will defend this position with great vigor if challenged. The only children who even come close are her great- nieces and nephews – all of whom are also adorable.
I love your blog and try to keep up on my reading of it. It is great to learn of your other accomplishments and I hope to follow your example and expand my writing. I have long wanted to write a romance novel based on a personal experience and am working up to that. Let me know about your fantasy fiction. I would be interested in reading.
Best Regards,
Lindsay

I wrote an entry on my blog for four or five months and then … decided I might be able to turn it into a book and took it down. But I’ve done nothing with it since. The Station is the place where characters go when their Bosses (authors) aren’t using them. It’s a wonderful land of make believe.
Thank you, Mrs. Hysall, for taking the time to write this blog. This is now one of my favorite ways to start the day.
Thank you. I’m glad you enjoy it.
